Intolerable Government of Tyranny

Image
Is this an Intolerable Government of Tyranny? Earlier in the month, I wrote an open letter to the governor of Ogun state: http://toyosicraig.blogspot.com/2014/08/toyosi-craig-open-letter-to-gov-amosun.html Now as if I am a sage.. things just fell in that line...today I wish to state that there is no justification by Ogun state government to close OOU ... It is just like saying the Massachusetts Government closes University of Boston or Government of California closing Caltech ..It can never happen.. we cannot be so shallow minded to accept those feeble excuses presented by governor Amosun.. wait sef.. what do these people take us for...em em 9 students se kinikan.. some students se kinikan.. how can few student threaten the security of the state with the "so called equipped" Police force in Ogun.. and how can students whose faces are known be preparing to cause trouble..shame.. in order to cover up the brutal attack on those students and expose the culprits

An elected Ogun Governor has never unleashed terror on students – LP carpets Amosun By Wale Odunsi on August 16, 2014 @dailypostngr The Labour Party, LP, in Ogun on Friday, said its attention has been drawn to the ongoing attacks on the students of Ogun State, who were protesting the bad policies of the government in the educational sector, particularly in the state-owned higher institutions. It recalled that the governor during the electioneering campaign promised a 50% reduction in the student’s school fees and also promised a total overhaul of the educational sector in the state but that he has failed to implement same since 2011. Noting that the Commissioner for Education on Tuesday announced a reduction in the school fees beginning from 2014/2015 academic session, LP stated that the students kicked against the decision because the cut they wanted shouldn’t be less than 40% and that it must be with immediate effect and not next year as said by the government.

Recurring mass failure in WASSCE

Image
Recurring mass failure in WASSCE For three successive years, the poor performance of candidates in the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) has been of great concern in the country. The recurring mass failure of our students in the critical examination is a damning verdict on the standard of education at the secondary school level in the country. The 2014 May/June WASSCE result announced by the West African Examination Council (WAEC), last week, is yet another confirmation that secondary school education in Nigeria is badly in need of intervention to improve students’ academic performance. Figures released by Head of WAEC National office in Lagos, Mr. Charles Eguridu, showed that only 529,425 candidates out of 1,692,435, representing 31.28 percent, obtained credits in five subjects and above including English Language and Mathematics, in the exami

buy acomplia online On Paternity Leave In Lagos State Sunday, 17 August 2014 00:00 Written by EDITOR LAGOS State Government’s new policy of granting male civil servants paternity leave like their female counterparts may seem strange to the Nigerian culture, even run against the general run of play, it is quite commendable and deserves the understanding of all who care about family. There is no denying the fact that many young mothers endure more than a fair share of hardship after childbirth as a result of lack of a helping hand.    It is, therefore, not out of place to grant their husbands leave to lend a helping hand, especially, in the first few days after child delivery.   Maternity leave is automatically granted to allow women recuperate and have some time to give adequate nursing care to the newborn baby.
